QuantumClean, a Quantum Global Technologies LLC, (QGT) company, is seeking an Engineering Technician to perform inspections of incoming parts and finished goods. The Engineering Technician will provide sustaining engineering support and training to Production and support activities for Engineering Projects that will potentially include work in all areas of the operation. The ideal candidate will be expected to become a recognized process expert in specific fields who monitors and provides feedback concerning Process Safety, Lean Flow and Process Improvement opportunities.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)
  • Process knowledge and experience to help achieve and maintain process control.   Demonstrate the ability to evaluate and communicate the effectiveness of new processes and services.
  • Provides Sustaining Engineering support to the facility.
  • Evaluate and report the effectiveness of Equipment and Material vendors. 
  • Work with Engineering team in development and implementation of BKM’s.  Assist with technical plant tours, presentations and problem resolution. 
  • Use knowledge of process materials and techniques to improve safety, throughput, effectiveness and costs of Operations. 
  • Trains Technicians to perform duties according to current Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Updates Shop Floor Control database as required.
  • Observes processes in Operations environment to identify and eliminate possible failure modes.
  • Has active role in Failure Analysis procedure for evaluation of field failures.
  • Writes new process instructions, operating procedures and training documents.
  • Designs and maintains fixtures, drawings, etc. for Blast, Cleaning and Coating applications.
  • Creates and maintains robot programs for Blast, TWAS and Plasma spray.
  • Implements procedures for analytical assessment.
  • Participates in CEP activities pertaining to new process improvement or product upgrades.
  • Develops process control strategies for new and existing processes.
  • Act as a coordinator / consultant and takes part in new site start-ups globally.
 Required Qualifications/Skills:
  • Minimum AA in Engineering Technology, Math or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years parts cleaning experience
  • Excellent communication skills- email/ phone
  • Solid writing and math skills.
  • Ability to perform or closely direct new processes, record data, make recommendations as to process improvements and write reports in conjunction with Engineers
  • Proficient use MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
 Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
  • Minimum 3 years parts cleaning experience
  • BS degree
  • Drafting software experience (i.e. CAD, Solidworks, etc.)
  • Experience with Truechem, JPM, MathCAD
  • Experience handling delicate, highly finished surfaces is a big plus.
 Interpersonal Skills:
  • Self-Starter
  • Ability to work on projects with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable working multiple projects simultaneously
 Travel Requirement:  
  •  <10% of work time will require travel. 
Note: Training on first shift will occur for approximately 6 months unless experience or training progress dictates shorter period before moving to second shift.
