Staff Accountant: Develops, implements and/or maintains one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, etc. Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations. Balances books and prepares profit and loss, cash flow, income and balance sheet statements. Monitors and develops monthly reports of revenues and expenditures for projects. Provides record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions. May prepare federal, state and local reports and tax returns. May assist in the setup of processes and procedures that properly capture, track and report revenue, including deferred revenue, in accordance with the company revenue recognition policy. May generate revenue reports for internal and/or external use. May interpret reports and records for managers/stakeholders. May be involved in reviewing, tracking and maintaining billing information in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and other accounting regulations.
 
Specific Responsibilities: (Other Duties May be Assigned)
  • Manage general ledger
  • Produce monthly and year-end financial statements
  • Supervise monthly and year-end close
  • Coordinate annual audit schedule
  • Manage record retention policy
  • Reconcile books for international entities
  • Support financial ERP applications and all report writer configurations
 
Technical Content Expert – Possesses up-to-date knowledge, with demonstrable experience of accounting procedures and protocols and the ability to manage and drive quality and operations initiatives.
Process Management – Approaches work by understanding the current state, desired state, restraining and supporting forces at issue in any situation; reinforces this mindset with the fundamental capability to utilize and implement the quality process of identification, control, and continuous improvement to address relevant workplace issues.
Planning & Organization –Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends. Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Communication – Lets people know of decisions, changes and other relevant information on a timely basis. Demonstrates attention to and conveys understanding of the comments or questions of others. Speaks effectively one-on-one and in groups as well as makes effective presentations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BS or BA in Accounting or direct equivalent experience
  • **Global Experience**
  • Minimum 2 years of corporate accounting experience
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Knowledge of financial reporting
  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software – Microsoft Office/Traverse/Synoptix/SAGE
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
